How did the two of you meet, and who made the first move? For years, She was just one of my sister’s friends – with cute dimples. One weekend, the three of us went to Atlanta, GA to attend Passion City Church and Emily and I really seemed to hit it off. After much silliness, dancing to music, laughter, and stories, I began to realize that we could potentially become friends…or even more. After my curiosity was sparked, I began traveling to Columbus, GA more often in order for us to cross paths as much as possible. Several months later, I asked her out on our first official date and the rest is history. Who were the first people you told about your engagement? Since I planned a surprise engagement party after the proposal, I had previously informed all of her closest friends of my plans to propose to see if they could be in attendance. However, we did stop by to meet her father on his way to work to announce our engagement in person. Little did she know what was to follow! How did you hear about T.K. Anderson Designs? I went to undergrad and graduate school at the University of Georgia and one of my classmates recommended this company to my parents in Columbus, GA. He had recently proposed to his girlfriend using a ring designed by Wes and I had been toying with the idea of having a custom one made for Emily. What was your favorite part about working with the T.K. Anderson team? Wes Anderson was extremely professional and innovative as we communicated about the design of the engagement ring via phone conversations and email. He completed it in a timely manner at a fair price and in the process gained a lifetime customer. Bride, what do you like most about your new ring? I love multiple things about my ring! I love that he got it designed for me specially by an artist, I love that he used my favorite stone, Tanzanite, as the main, center stone, but my absolute favorite thing about the ring is that he was able to capture an elegant simplicity in the ring and I couldn’t be happier. What are you most excited for in your future together? Since we have been dating/engaged long distance, we are looking forward to being able to spend more quality time together without having to travel. She currently lives in my hometown of Columbus, GA while I work and live in Albany, GA. Finally being able to share a home and a life together will be wonderful.
